Does Anyone Else..

.. wear an apron when they cook?

I do it because I am a flaming disaster and get splashes everywhere. PLUS it makes me feel like a 50's throwback. My son's wear aprons when they help me cook.

BUT.. everyone who sees this thinks I am a freak of nature.

Do you wear one or do you think it's odd?

You know, I have one and I keep forgetting to wear it and I have ruined some clothes with grease. I saw a cute idea for one using a kitchen towel. I think I might make one this summer.

I don't wear one and I probably should since I am like Pig Pen sometimes and get stuff everywhere!!!

If I am frying with cooking oil or making something extremely messy then I will, but otherwise no. I think I wear it maybe 6 times a year.

If company is coming and I am already dressed, then yes. Otherwise no. I really should though because I have ruined way too many clothes from splatter.

i have a couple but i never wear them.

I could wear an all white outfit and make sauce and not get a spot on me

I don't, but I should. I really should wear an apron every single second of every day... I'm a slob! I can't even bleach the stove top without getting beach all over me.

If I'm not too lazy to put it on I will. I even have a few cute retro ones. It really doesn't need to symbolize anything other than wishing to stay neat while cooking.

I do - I am a big fan of wiping my hands on myself. I need one. When I don't wear one it takes me ten times longer to cook b/c then I have to stop and look for the kitchen towel that I just used 5 mins before and left in some random place. Like the fridge, LR sofa, or where I keep the trivets.

I do only when i am already dressed when people come over and dont want to get dirty.. otherwise.. I'm pretty good..

I only wear one when I bake b/c I am terrible with flour getting everywhere….I might when I’m cooking if it’s like a day of cooking or I’m doing a bunch of things or something that is a big production. For every day dinners I don’t….I also think they’re cute though and I always remember wearing one of my mom’s aprons when I was little and we baked cookies together…my mom has given me two, one that says born to shop and another that she made which is a wrap around and is blue with white polka dots…and I enjoy them both!

For everyday dinners, no.

For baking - sometimes.

For "messy" foods - sometimes.

I have a really cute apron, but I tend to just forget to put it on until I've gotten a spot of something on my clothes, lol.

I don't wear one (I don't even own one) but I definitely should because I'm a disaster on the kitchen.

I have always wanted one...but never bought one to use. Maybe I will do that today

Not all the time, but sometimes I do - especially for baking, cooking sauces or big dinners like Thanksgiving, etc.
My Grammie used to wear one daily - regardless of cooking or not. I wear her's. She actually would make her own from old dresses.

Yes, I have one I wear a few times. Mostly when I am frying on the stove top, since the grease spatters have ruined more shirts than I would have liked!

yes i just started wearing it and i love it!!! i got one from kiddie kandids with the kids pic on it and now i use it all the time!!!!

I don't but recently I was at someone's house and I was helping prep and cook and the hostess offered me an apron. I loved the idea of it and my clothes were unscathed.

I need to go buy some now.

yup, as long as i am making something on the stove - i wear one. i do laundry once a week and i am SOOOO bad with spot treating stuff i usually just throw it in the hamper so I kind of HAVE to.

I like the way it makes me feel, also.
