folic acid
My Dr said to take extra folic acid. She didnt tell me how much. Does anyone take extra folic...if so what is normal?

I take 400mcg a day...one tablet.
I did when I was PG and do now that we are ttc again...
thats usually the standard "extra dosage"

I think the pre-natal has 1,000 mg of folic acid.
I thought that was good enough.
Maybe different pre-natals have less

My OTC prenatal had 800 mg of Folic acid but my RX prenatal has 1000.
My dr. said Women's One-A-Day was fine and that has 400 mg. I ended up buying CVS prenatals when TTC with 800 mg.

I take the regular prenatal and was put on an additional 2 mg per day. i'm carrying twins though.
