Disappointed
I just had my last sono before my IUI tomorrow. There is only one lead follicle at 19 right now and a "supporting cast", which are so small that he didn't measure, all on the left side. There was one on the right yesterday but that seems to have disappeared.
Anyway, I'm to trigger tonight for IUI tomorrow and possibly Thurs. Just disappointed that there are not as many larger follicles. This cycle was Bravelle and the other was on Gonal-F, so I think that made the difference, but Dr. said my ovaries are getting tired even though this is only my second medicated IUI.
I feel like IVF is in my future after a break for the Summer.

I am sorry that there werent as many follicles as you had hoped... but you only need one!!!! Good luck with your iui!!!

Oh I'm sorry but like ETAB said it really only takes one. So many girls on here have gotten preg with only one dominant follie.

Thanks, girls. I obviously hope this one works, but I am ready to move on to the next step if IUIs don't work for us.
ETA: We are going to investigate my DH's insurance. We didn't enroll in it because I thought mine was good enough, but there is a chance that it might be better for IF coverage.

I wonder why your Dr. said your ovaries were gettiing tired, LOL. I've never heard that before!

i know exactly how u feel. In january they increased my medication and i still only had 1. The dr was disappointed and said if the cycle didnt work they would have to change meds to produce more follies.
i triggered when that follie was 18mm and a day and a half later i had the iui. that month i got my bfp! I was completly in disbelief but all u need is one GOOD one!
