I do soy sauce with some italian seasonings & pepper
Balsamic Vinegar with seasonings
In terms of how long, it is not long but DH usually does the BBQing, so i am not 100% sure.

Sounds good but Danielle wont eat Rosemary.....
Any other ideas?? I am defrosting it now, in the frig. I plan to marinate it tonight and then have it for dinner wednesday night.
What do you usually make as side dishes...
I was going to make Sauerkraut.....and possibly perogies.
Thanks, Scott

Cider vinegar, mustard and either a little honey or brown sugar taste great on pork.

I wrap it in foil with fresh fennel, onions, and apples...salt and pepper.
I keep it in fridge overnight, then toss it on grill still wrapped up. delicious!

Mustard, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper - throw it in the mini prep and pulse until it's smooth and use as a marinade. You don't need to wipe off the marinade... it's thick and should make a decent crust on the loin when cooked.
ETA: Depending on the size/thickness .. I'd say it would need to be on the grill for 1.5 to 2 hours over medium in a tin pan (slow cooking always seems best with pork). I'd check every 20 minutes after the first hour until you get to about 155-160 degrees in the center.
Good Luck!

That sounds really good - What if I baked it instead? How long would you cook it for?
Also how much of each ingrediant should I use?

I'm gonna be REALLLLY honest and tell you that I totally wing it most of the time with amounts.. AND I use a ridiculous amount of garlic. If it was me I'd use probably 1/3 cup of olive oil, 1 cup of dijon, 7 garlic cloves, a palmful of salt (to taste - depends on how salty your dijon is) and a good dose of pepper to start. I like it to form a thick kind of paste rather than a liquid-y marinade so I can slather it on the meat. I'd throw some fresh thyme on it as well.
Now.. as to cook time.. again it's all about the temperature with me. I'd probably put some foil over it and start it at 300 for a good 45 minutes.. then remove the foil and crank it up to 400 for at least another 30 minutes. I'm REALLY funny with pork being very well cooked. Once you can really smell the loin cooking (and it will smell awesome) you can start checking the temp.
Good luck!

Re: Pork Loin - What to Marinade it in??
I ended up Marinating it in the MCCormick Pork Rub and Olive oil.
I am still going to use your baking technique. I dont have anything to measure the temperature of the Loin though.
Danielle wont eat it if it is still pink.....either.
I bought red potatoes to make with the pork. Any recipes for these types of Potatoes?
Thanks, Scott

Re: Pork Loin - What to Marinade it in??
I cook pork tenderloin at 450 for 20 minutes and then let it sit outside the oven for 5 - 10 minutes (not in foil). Cooks thoroughly without getting dry.
I cut tiny slits into the meat and put minced garlic in the slits. I then rub it with olive oil, rosemary, and thyme (I know you said no to the rosemary, but in case someone else finds this thread later on...)
