Annual check-up for dogs

What do they do at their annual check-up? Do they take any blood? Get any shots? And if you dont mind me asking, how much does it cost?

I have been using a vet in Rockville centre for almost 5 years and love them but I feel like everytime I take my dogs for a visit there, even my cat, it is almost $200-300 per animal. I dont know if that is the norm or if they are just expensive.

TIA!!!!

They usually check tempurature, ears, heart. Take a stool sample, give shots, mine gets the Rabies shots and the Leptosperosis shots, take blood to test for heartworm. It costs us about $290 for our 8lb poodle and $350 maybe a little less for our 80lb Pit mix. That also includes heartworm pills. So i think 2$200-$300 is pretty reasonable. I know i could get there shots at petco much cheaper but i only trust 1 vet to take care of my dogs.

Re: Annual check-up for dogs

we just went for Bella's annual exam and it was $286 and that was for all of her shots, rabies, bortella, etc. heartworm test and stool sample. It also included her heart worm pills and 3 months of frontline. If we didn't purchase the pills and frontline I think it would have been around $200

Blood test, shots, stool sample etc, at the yearly visit. Not sure what this runs me, I would have to check.
