I was thinking of going there this weekend for my bday. Has anyone ever been there?

I've been there many times. It's good but, imo, not great. I prefer Butera's which is right in town. I've also been wanting to try The Chop Shop which, I've only heard good things about.

We were thre twice and both experiences were fantastic! my FIL is Italian (from Italy) and therefore him and my DH are VERY picky about Italian places, but this is one they will actually go to and think is good  if i remember correctly, it is family style and the portions are large, so you can share dishes.

I agree on all points, except I HAVE been to the Chop Shop and it's fantastic!

I loved La Famiglia. You have to like Family Style.
Butera's is also great - we had our RD there.
The Chop Shop is my new fave place - I've been there four times LOL! It is so good - we were there Saturday night for DH's college graduation.
