Thoughts on Dix Hills?
Was thinking of looking around this area. There is a huge disparity in price though throughout the town.
Anyone know the area and have any knowledge they can share?

Dix hills is a very nice area. Just beware of the section that is close to Wyndanch....

grew up there, and mom is still there... definitely a huge $$ range... many homes are gorgeous.. there are also some mc mansions... school district was great... I found many of the kids to be rather bratty when I was growing up....

instead of negative location info, I'll give you some positive... the most desirable part of dix hills is just north of the LIE... between commack rd and bagatelle rd, with wolf hill rd as the northern edge....
basically the vanderbilt pkwy corridor....

We are in the process of buying a house off Vanderbilt...we did a lot of looking!! Let me know if you have any questions about the area!

We looked at the Vanderbilt area east of DPA. We looked at a ton of houses over there. Let me know if you have any questions.

I believe wheatly heights is in btwn wyandanch and dixhills. So stay away from wheatly heights as well.
Dix hills is beautiful

Thats a wonderful area! I would love to live there..however it is on the pricey side!!
