I understand it is district 13 - I grew up in Lynbrook and went to District 24 Valley Stream schools, and my sister works in district 24. I just was wondering what schools were in District 13.

nice house. i really like the stone on the exterior.
the only red flag (MAJOR) that i see, is the listed condition rating of "excellent". ask the agent why it is listed as so. the engineer will also provide a comprehensive evaluation of the house.

Make sure you have an engineer throughly look at the house and also get a termite inspector.
Other than that - you should be fine...

Valley Stream 13
Dever, Wheeler, Howell & Willow Schools. Are those in North Valley Stream? I don't remember. I went to Central High School. District 30. VS isn't the same as when I went to school there. But that was many years ago at this point.

My DH grew up in a house almost exactly like that in Lynbrook--very charming! ETA I graduated from District 13 too

I live in the Dogwood section of Franklin Square. District 13...Willow (Elementary) and North HS.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Willow.
And I am a former elementary school teacher, so my standards are VERY high.
If that house is zoned for Willow, and you love it, I say go for it.
You will ABSOLUTELY love the school!!!!!!! I can't say enough good things about it.

In addition, district 13 is the district that would "normally" be zoned for North. The schools that traditionally send kids to North are Dever, Willow and Howell. However, as PP stated, parents can elect to opt for another high school and nowadays many Wheeler parents are sending their kids to North as well.
