Spinoff to my IUI update - WWYD?
I'm stressing out about the IUI tomorrow now and am looking for some words of wisdom. Here are my options:
1) I can either do the IUI tomorrow in the hope of getting a good result with one good follicle and pay $800 OOP. It is scheduled for 4 and I was hoping to leave work and not return, but that's not a possiblity now due to a deadline.
2) Cancel tomorrow's IUI and just BD ourselves tomorrow. Then I would do a medicated IUI OOP (or possible new procedure of IVF that my RE has just had success with - see Fox News tonight) next cycle.
What would you do. I need to make a decision before the end of today.

unmedicated IUIs are only marginally better than BDing..I would bd like a crazy person!

Honestly.....I would just BD. $800 is a lot of money and later on you could use it towards IVF or like you said another IUI with more follies.

I don't know too much about your situation or background but IUI with one follicle is probably not going to increase your success rate very much over BDing. I would save your money and consider IVF as your next step. Best of luck!

Thanks, Ladies. My gut is telling me to wait. Especially as tomorrow is going to be such a stressful day at work, I feel like it would be a waste.

I would BD - but I would BD tonight, tomorrow and Saturday...just to increase your chances as much as possible.

I was thinking the same thing......doesnt he have to "replenish"? Know what I mean?

I was thinking the same thing......doesnt he have to "replenish"? Know what I mean?
After my IUI, my dr tells me to go home and BD that night (and again for the next 2 days unless I'm having back-to-back IUI's).
I agree w/ all the others.....BD!
I'll be interested to watch Fox News tonight.

Thanks. I assume the news item will be on tonight - maybe tomorrow. Fox News was there today. It is in relation to this article in the Daily News last week. The procedure was successful for one patient.
