Would this be weird..
There is this gas station / car repair place near my house. I pass it almost every day. They have a German Shepherd that sits outside all day, chained up. He has a doggie house to go into also. He does not seem miserable...but of course I feel bad for him. The other day it was raining and he was out there, laying on the cement in the rain  Now..keep in mind..he could have went in his little house.
I thought about ordering one of those indoor / outdoor doggie beds and sending it anonymously to the shop. Would that be weird!? It would make me so happy to see that dog at least having a bed to lay on.

He may not have looked miserable but I am sure he could be alot happier.
Who wants to sit in a cramped dog house all day. I get that caged in feeling if I am stuck in my house all day
What a lonely life . We have places like that by me. I hate driving past.It kills me.
I say if the bed is not too expensive buy it and see what happens.
I actually found a great poem on the internet called " life on a chain" . I sent it to a lady who left her dog out all the time.
I would send that to him as well.
I really hate people some times. My MIL always says" you can tell a a lot about a person by how they treat animals"...I think she is so right .

I feel terrible just reading this. I am sick to my stomach, that's so not right. Is there any way you can call SPCA or something, based on the way he is treated? There are certain laws that have to be folllowed...maybe they are breaking some you don't realize?

After watching Animal Cops (NYC), I'm not hopeful that anything can be done. Dogs that are put into service in junkyards and the like typically have terrible lives, but the ASPCA can't do much if the dog is fed and has shelter.
I think it's terrible.
