Anyone have any feedback on Planet Fitness?
They are running a great deal right now and I was wondering if anyone here goes there.
If you do, what do you think?

I go to the one in centereach. Overall I like it, but I find that they are very limited. No classes, not a lot of machines (that other gyms have), too many people. I like other gyms more, but for 10 bucks a month its good.

We actually just not-renewed our membership. Let me preface this by saying we used to belong to Armitraj which is top of the line. When DS and I would go to the gym there were workers standing in front of the gym smoking. Not that they can't smoke, but you are supposed to be representing a place that emphasizes health and fitness. Once you get in it smells of rubber and sweat. Lots of people are there because of the low price and they just don't have gym etiquette. Machines don't get wiped. They use the machines that are reserved for circuit training, etc.
This is the Bay Shore one, which incidentally, was the scene of a drive-by shooting not too long ago.
We are planning to check out Fitness 19 in Lindenhurst.

I was wondering about the new one in Riverhead. I belong to Sportime in E Qougue, I pay $48 and have no issues. For $10 Im a lil weary of the quality.

I go to the one in Centerreach and I love it. It has everything I need and is only $10 a month. I would just join and try it out - there is no contract so just cancel if you don't like it!

agreed! this is also true! people don't follow proper etiquette at all. It really annoys me too! How hard is it really to wipe down a machine after you use it. People are just clueless and I feel like beginners that know nothing about gyms in general, etiquette, etc. come here.

I go to the one in centereach also. I do not have any problems for 10.00 a month!! I ALWAYS wipe down my machine!! LOL..I make sure no one takes my machine until after I wipe it! I do see lots of people wiping theres down too. But then you always get that person who doesnt and that ticks me off. But I have to say all gyms are like that. I have been a member of Aspen who are disgusting prob were the worst, Ballys was horrible and Xtreme fitness i never saw anyone clean up! Anyway I would join and try it out and like a previuos poster said its no commitment so you can cancel at anytime!!!
