How much beer to buy?
Im having a party with about 60 people, including kids, I am buying wine and hard alcohol also .TIA

Depends. If I am coming, you need to get an extra case of beer just for me. 
Our parties are typically that size and have mainly wine drinkers and we have gotten 3x 12 packs of different beer. (12 pack of bud, 12 pack of bud light, 12 pack of something else)
ETA: OH! But if it is a spring or summer party, we always have at least a 12-24 pack of Assorted Mike's hard lemonade.

If it's a BBQ or a house party I think this is enough as people will probably bring some. If it is at a place you are renting, I would grab another 12 pack for 4 total. 2 of something everyone will drink and then a 12 pack of Heineken/Corona and then a 12 pack of a light beer.

I would buy more, unless you think it's a party where people will BYOB.
4 cases would only be 48 beers. That is less than 1 beer per person.
If most people are beer drinkers, I would figure 3 beers per person. Then base my purchase on that.
Nothing worse than running out of alcohol at a party & then needing to make a beer run.

Thanks everyone! Yes everyone is a drinker, and its a bday party, although some friends may bring, I def don't wanna run out.
