Re: Sausage and Peppers
I make the simplest sausage and peppers and everyone is always asking me for the recipe. It makes me laugh actually.
Boil the sausage, let it cool and then slice on a diagonal.
Cut up red peppers, green peppers, yellow peppers and onions.
In skillet, cook up sausage and pepper/onion mixture until sausage is browned. I do this in batches and add some garlic powder.
Combine all the food in tray(s) and sprinkle with soem Italian seasoning. I usually let it sit overnight so the flavors can combine and then just reheat it in the trays the next day.

That really sounds simple enough! I know it can be a simple recipe just didn't know if anyone had something that they may add to it. I was lookign recipes up online and some called for white wine or red wine, tomato paste. Thanks for the recipe. How do you know it's done when you boil it? I really don't cook with sausage...

Re: Sausage and Peppers
I take a whole onion , fry up until soft , I then add half a head of sliced thinly garlic... after that i add the saufage. I prefer the spiral kind. Ipoke it with a fork so that its dont splatter once its cooking .. after its cooked to your liking , remove it to a platter , then Iadd the peppers. I like color so i usually add 2 red, 2 green , 2 yellow & 2 orange. it sound sliek a lot but keep in mnd its shrinks ..
once the are cooked i add back the sausage & let it simmer for the juices to mix..
viola , done ,,

Re: Sausage and Peppers
Brown my sausage. Cut into chunks. Remove from pan. Saute onion, and peppers until mostly soft. Add garlic and put sausages back in. I add red wine and water at this point, but I've had it without. You can even use chicken broth if you want. It just makes a little bit of sauce. I serve it over pasta so I like the sauce.

Re: Sausage and Peppers
I take fresh Sweet potatoes - Peel and slice into chunks.
I take a zip lock bag and put the Potatoes in there.
I then put in Olive oil and some minced garlic.
I rub the oil and garlic all over the potatoes.
Put the potatoes into a roasting pan and into the oven for until the potatoes are soft.
While this is cooking, I sautee' red, yellow peppers, onions in one pan
In the other pan I brown up my sausage.
After the veggies are ready and I slice up my sausage, I throw it all into the roasting pan with the Potatoes and let it cook a little longer.
So good....
