What is the story with the endometrial biopsy?
I have to have one done on Monday in preparation for IVF. Does it hurt?

I had one. It definitely hurt. I didn't realize that they basically are scraping a piece off the inside of your uterus. It was QUICK though, so it did hurt, but was over quickly

I had to have one too, and it did hurt. In fact, tears came to my eyes immediately, but I think most of that was fear. The nurse in the office with my DR was very compassionate, though. Hang in there... it really is over very quickly

Ok....I just did some research. It looks like a biopsy before IVF doubles the success rate of IVF.

Ok....I just did some research. It looks like a biopsy before IVF doubles the success rate of IVF.
Really!!! I didn't know that. I had a chemical in Jan, and then there was left over "fluid" in my uterus, so the did the endometrial biopsy... my next cycle I got prego... I wonder if this had any effect on it... Interesting!

I also got preganant from a FET... thats pretty interesting.
I wonder why they wouldn't make this a protocal like the water sono, and a HSG... ya know? Especially if it improves chances... its seems it "could" possibly save couples a lot of failed cycles and a lot of money...

It is protocol for me. I have never had IVF before. I go to Dr. Brenner. They told me that I am only doing it because of the increase success rate.

So I had it today. It was definitely uncomfortable, but probably about 20 seconds. So I survived, though I must say that the whole thing ruined my day. I am having a bit of a pity party for myself today.
