Williamsburg, VA
I just booked a last minute trip to Williamsburg for April break. My sister and her 10yr old DD will be coming with me and my 2.5yr old DS. We are planning on doing Busch Gardens for atleast one day, maybe two. And we're going to spend a day at Hostoric Williamsburg. Any other must see/dos in the area? We're going to be staying at the Historic Powhatan Resort. It gets mixed reviews on tripadvisor but I booked it with a timeshare that was going to expire so a 2 bed room only cost $189 total for the week.

Also, if anyone's been in early April, how was the weather?

It's usually 5-10 degrees warmer than it is on Long Island at any given time. Hard to say what "typical" weather for early April is, because it varies so much in the spring.
Have lunch at the Cheese Shoppe in Colonial Williamsburg!

I second the cheese shop!!! So good!!!
Not really "vacation themed", but there's also outlets about 10-15 mins away from there- lots of my favorite stores... we had some fun there too (and did lots of damage!). We went during that 100+degree heat wave over the summer, so the indoor shopping was a welcomed surprise (as were the fab discounts at the Juicy outlet )

I know, I just found the website for the outlets and it has ALL of my favorite outlets stores. I always do some major damage in Banana Republic!
