What do I need for our new baby?

We are picking up our little Shih Tzu Cara this weekend. She is 4 mths old.

Doggie toothbrush and toothpaste
Folder to hold all of her papers and vet records

What size crate? That is the part most confusing. One petco says big enough for her not to go to the bathroom in and the other says big enough for bathroom and sleep area....the first seems cruel

I think the first one is right about the crate being not big enough to go to the bathroom in. I know we are getting our lab puppy in 3 weeks when he is old enough to come home and the breeder said to crate train them it should be just big enough for them to be comfortable but not enough room to go to the bathroom in. They don't like to "go" where they sit. Don't necessarily go by me though since I will be a first time puppy owner. Good luck!

1. Crate - big enough to stand up and turn around. You don't want them to do to the bathroom in here and if it is too big they will.

2. Kong, nylabones - great for puppies that chew

3. Bowls, leash, collar, harness, poop bags
