Who is going with a midwife??

Hi girls! Pretty new here... I was wondering if anyone was using gaia midwives or stonybrook midwives and what you thought of them... any other recommended midwives on LI??
I don't know if I would want a home birth or possibly a hospital birth (but I really want a waterbirth!!)

I would ask this on the Pregnancy Board... they'd probably have answers for you.

I will be using a midwife, but I no longer live in New York, and I pray that I have a baby before I move back there.

I agree with PP, ask on the pregnancy board. There are quite a few who are using midwives.

I just asked this question on the pregnancy and parenting boards. I am defiitely considering it. I spoke with Susan Brockman (of the Gaia midwives) and she's been a wealth of information. I believe there's also a list of certified midwives on their website. You can also go on your insurance website and seach for a list that way.
