Am I the only one who has a poor diet?
I am SUCH a picky eater, its ridiculous and I drive DH crazy.
I am not a big veggie fan, or fruit fan, and only like particular ones of each.
I don't eat fast food regularly at all, but I do eat a lot of processed stuff... Lean pockets, lean cuisines...
I have always been like this and it's frustrating. I always say to myself that I am going to eat at least one fruit and one veggie a day, but I never do.. I just never want it.
I eat the SAME stuff over and over.
Anyone else?

Completely off topic, but I have to say, you saw Richard Christy and Sal Governale? (A Howard fan in hiding?)

i'm very picky as well--but i've discovered the best way to handle things is to make my own food and try new recipes that involve the foods i do enjoy.
that way i'm not eating processed stuff as much and i can control my portions and calorie intake in my own way.

Re: Am I the only one who has a poor diet?
i am pretty picky eater, too.. although i do LOVE fruit, so at least i get something in there somewhere- lol. DH grew up eating a lot of veggies and healthy stuff, so hes got me more into it. we go out to eat 2 times a week, and one of the times is usually to Fridays for some mozz sticks and chicken fingers BUT, during the week we make our own food, so i use the low fat or "light" versions of stuff whenever i can and i think that helps. i also find that if i just don't buy the junk stuff and don't have it in the house, it keeps me from eating it. but i still LOVE my junky food.

YES I DID! I love them. They were great!!! I got to meet them, take pics with them, and hug them. But I am not in hiding, I will proudly say that I am obsessed with the show!

Re: Am I the only one who has a poor diet?
hi, I don't eat much processed foods, but I just wanted to give you some "tips" as to how you can eat what you like but in a healthier way.
like ham and cheese lean pockets?
get a baguette, ham and cheese and make a panini.
you like frozen waffles?
make a bunch from scratch one day and freeze.
ANYTHING that they sell in a box/package you can recreate at home. and just making it yourself, without preservatives and other ingredients will make your diet better before you force yourself to eat another fruit or veggie.
my niece is a processed food junkie (at 11!) and I am in the process of showing her a better way now. we cook together, and she finds she actually likes the fresh stuff just as much if not more.
it IS time consuming, but once you go fresh, you will NEVER go back.
if you like, post some of your favs and I am sure we can find recipes for fresh alternatives. I live for this stuff!

Thank you for your advice!!! I really need to make this a priority, and may be soliciting your ideas!
