healthy hot dogs?
I know hot dogs aren't healthy but do they make healthier ones - esp for kids? Or a hot dog substitute?

I know there's turkey dogs. Not sure where you can get them around here. When I go to NJ I go to Wegmans and they have some good ones.

Boar's Head makes light beef hot dogs. Check in King Kullen or Stop & Shop.

Re: healthy hot dogs?
Trader joe's has some no filler, no nitrates ones in either turkey or beef.
Also Stop & Shop has some from their Nature's Promise brand that are also nitrate free etc.

Re: healthy hot dogs?
OK thanks - so are turkey dogs healthier than regular hot dogs? Or really are all hot dogs jsut not good for you, but the turkey ones or the no fillers ones are just a little better?
