No Chicken McNuggets?? I am soOoOoo calling 911!!
Angered that her local McDonald's was out of Chicken McNuggets, a Florida woman called 911 three times to report the fast food "emergency." Latreasa Goodman, 27, last Saturday called police to complain that a cashier--citing a McDonald's all sales are final policy--would not give her a refund.
When cops responded to the restaurant, Goodman told them, "This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one." Goodman noted, "I called 911 because I couldn't get a refund, and I wanted my McNuggets," according to the below Fort Pierce Police Department report. That logic, however, did not keep cops from citing Goodman for misusing the 911 system. Even after being issued a misdemeanor citation, Goodman contended, "this is an emergency, my McNuggets are an emergency." The McDonald's devotee is seen at right in a mug shot snapped after a previous encounter with police. Last month, a Florida man was arrested after he called 911 to complain about his displeasure with a Burger King combo meal.

McDonalds ummm why didn't you just give her her money back? You didn't provide her with her order!

I don't think calling 911 was the solution, BUT they refused to give her the $$ money back. She is absolutely entitled to it back.

Here is my disclaimer. . .I in no way, shape or form, approve of her dialing 911 for this nonsense, HOWEVER, the fact that McDonalds would not give her her money back after they didnt have what she ordered is a theft IMO. All sales are final should only apply if there was a SALE. I mean honestly, couldnt they just do this...."I'd like a Bigmac...ok...$5...ok here....oh, i'm sorry, we're all out of BigMac's and since its final sale and you have already paid, you cant have you money back..." I think I would have been ARRESTED and not just issued a ticket if they had tried to pull that with me.

You speak to a manager or call the corporate offices...dialing 911 is just insane. I hope she has to pay for wasting the emergency service's time.

She should have called the local precinct rather than 911. I heard on the news this morning that she did get fined for calling 911.
I think it's ridiculous that they wouldn't give her her money back! I also heard McD's sent her a gift certificate for her troubles.

I'm sure stuff like this happens a lot, according to my DH it happens way too often, but then to give these stories attention  . This woman should ride in the back of a police car to shed light on what an emergency actual is!

I heard the calls on the radio - she kept getting transfered around and in the beginning she was asking what to do to get her money back. I think she was probably at the point of fustration and disbelief that they wouldn't give her her money back.
