We can't go anywhere...
Our lawyer told us that the contract that we signed with Foxtons has no loopholes and is impossible to get out of. So now we have to wait until our contract is up in JULY!!! I will NOT give Foxtons a penny of my money to sell. I'm so pi$$ed....

I'm surprised that there's no way out. What if they don't live up to what they promised you in terms of advertising and showing? Are you just at their mercy?

Yes, they can unfortunately.
Yes, this is correct. In the fine print of the contract you are obligated to pay them a commission even if you find the buyer. All boiler plate RE contracts are this way otherwise someone could come to a seller's door andd the seller could sell the house and the RE would make zero commission.
ETA: If a seller tries it they will have the RE agencies corporate attorneys on their butt instantly.

No...he avoids our call. He doesn't call here either...
His story changed too...so now it's our word against his.
My Dh called him two hours afterwards and cancelled. The broker is saying that my DH told him he doesn't want the co-op shown right away but to list it. Why would we say that? So stupid!!!!

I can imagine how you feel. You must want to go there and beat his face in. Lord knows that's how I would feel. What goes around, comes around. I'm a true believer in that. He will pay for screwing you guys.
