Kraupners Vent

So how's this for irony? After giving my extra PIO to a very special person on here my DH helps me clean the house on Sunday for a party that was sprung on me The other night I'm looking for my new boxes of PIO and cant find them...I'm not panicked...I KNOW they're in the house...so I keep looking...gone...nada....where the eff are they? So long story short, DH THINKS he remembers the boxes I'm talking about, thought they were empty and threw them out Fine...whatever....its $5 no biggie I'll have the nurse order me more. I expected not to be home last night and told Kraupners that I would call in the morning (today) to arrange to have it delievered to my downtown office (they're in Brooklyn by the way). So, I call this morning and they tell me that they can only guarantee delivery between 2-5. Uh dudes...I only work until 4:30. So now they start arguing with me...and I start yelling...and I get a supervisor on the phone who tells me that I'M being UNREASONABLE....ME? Its unreasonable to expect that I can receive my drugs within 8 hours? and NOT 8 1/2 hours? PLEASE GRANT ME THE SERENITY....so finally cranky pants tells me it WILL be here by 4:30 and wants my credit card number so first I ask her how much it is....$45 WHAT???? Now I want a breakdown...the drug is $5 and she wants to charge me $40 for needles and syringes....NO THANK YOU...just send me my $5 PIO B!TCH I tell her I'm paying cash, she says fine and then hangs up....uh hello...would you LIKE TO KNOW MY OFFICE ADDRESS?????? So I have to call back and am on hold for 10 minutes. Fine....VENT OVER...

You know, I have to say I hate them. Truly hate them.

One night they delivered meds at...wait for it...MIDNIGHT. They were supposed to be there by 8pm.

Then I was trying to get something covered through my insurance. So I'm on the phone with my insurance company and we call Kraupner's together to tell them how to bill it so its covered. The guy gets on the phone and starts saying how they can't because the way my doctor prescribed it, its multi-dose, and it won't be covered and that MY DOCTOR'S OFFICE TOLD ME NOT TO TRY TO HAVE IT COVERED and I'm trying anyway. UMM, WHAT? Are you saying I'm trying to scam my insurance company? I just said "UH, no they didn't tell me that, thank you very much."

Kraupner's hung up and I explained that I was never told not to try to have it covered. In fact, I was told quite the opposite from my doctor's office. So, needless to say, I told my office that I'm NEVER EVER using them again. EVER.

I can honestly say I hate them too!!! My last set of PIO's had to be delivered & the only day they had available was 12/23....They tell me someone will be at the house between 1-3...Ok fine, that works bc I have a ton of last minute running around to do that night!

By 5PM, nothing is there & I call them & get some nasty lady on the phone who tells me they can't find where the driver is & I must wait! I was flipping out & cursing at them bc A) my window was 1-3 & it is now 5 B) it is a night before a holiday, I have stuff to do! The woman was so nasty to me it got me more & more infuriated....Finally at 7PM the guy showed up....

Another Kraupners hater here.

They overcharged me last month and now I wonder how many times in the past they got away with that.

I'm looking thru old reciepts to see if I can recoup anything back from them.

I hate Kraupners with a passion. I've had so many issues with them from messing up my orders, not ringing my doorbell and leaving because it was 10:30 and I didn't have every light in the house on so they assumed I wasn't home to causing my credit card company to put a fraud alert on my account and shut my card because they tried running through my credit card 5 times without having the security code!!! Each time I ordered from them there was a problem.

I didn't want to use them for my last cycle but my clinic only uses Freedom and Kraupner's. I tried to go through Freedom but for some reason, they couldn't work with my insurance so I got stuck with Kraupner's again and had problems again. I complained to my clinic and she called the owner to complain. He called me to discuss. What a joke that was. Completley useless.

FYI, I had to reorder my PIO and asked them about the prices of the syringes. They charge $1.00 a syringe!!!!!!!! What a ripoff. I had my clinic call in my order to Walgreens. It was $10.00 for 30 syringes. What a difference AND, I didn't have to sit home for 4 hours waiting for a delivery.

You know, you reminded me of something.

They charged me $70 for syringes of which I used about 5 of them. How frustrating that was.

I had a bad experience with them as well and drove down there to get my money back. They charged me $120 for syringes!!!! I called them up and asked why and they were like "Well legally we cannot bill your ins because we didnt have the actual presciption your doctor just faxed it to us" So I got the presciptions from my doctor drove there returned them because I did not want to deal with them anymore, especially for refills, and they gave me my money back. So if you get syringes from them check you bill because they totally try and rip you off. I was fuming!!

i hated them to!! they were suppost to deliver between i think it was 6-10......never showed up! thank god i didnt need my meds that night. called the next day and they said they promise to have it to me between 6-10 again.....showed up at 2:30am!!!!!! wth?!

Thanks...I have PLENTY...I have enough needles and syringes to start my own needle exchange program

OMG - Freedom keeps sending me more needles than I could ever ever use up in my lifetime. So, if anyone needs needles....let me know. Plus if I run out they will send me more.

For all these reasons, I swtiched to Rockville Centre Pharmacy. They are FANTASTIC. Nothing like Kraupners!
