dr check up!
Ok i went to my gyno and had my first real conversation with my dr. about TTC. It was very eye opening and I'm glad I had the conversation. I figured I would share what I was told.. 1: He said it takes on average 6-9 months to concieve. 2: his quote "it's only easy to get pregnant when you don't want to be" lol this is true, we discussed how all your life you are taught how not to get pregnant, and when you are ready how hard it can be! 3: When starting out TTC he said try not to think too much and to enjoy eachother. He said if you BD 2-3 times a week then you should be good. No need to take ovultion tests in the beginning. See if it just happens 4: When it comes to alcohol and such he said when activily TTC when you are 1/2 through your cycle act like you are pregnant. Cut down on your drinks and other things. He said if anything ever happend you could drive yourself nuts worrying if that drink, or that cigarrett did it. He didn't say cut it out, but he did mean really cut back..
Ok...I guess I should say this is what MY doctor told me. Not everyone believes the same...so I am just relaying what I was told...

Re: dr check up!
Sounds like you got some good information!
I agree with most of what your doctor said... just if you're only BDing 2-3 days a week, I don't really know if that will cut it.
You coul ovulate on a Sunday, and only have BD'd the previous Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - KWIM? I guess if you try to space it out enough, it might give you an OKAY chance...
If you want the most laid back routine, I'd say just BD every other day after AF ends... KWIM? Then there's no counting, OPKs, or anything...

I guess you certainly can't go wrong with more! lol He just said that sometimes people feel pressure when they "have" to do something...so i guess he set the bar a little lower. Who knows...i totally agree that you couldn't do anything bad with more!
