Interesting Moral Question-Deleted

The more I thought about it, the more I felt bad. My DH kind of made me change my opinion. I checked the date of the incident and it happened during Labor Day weekend. Giving the person the benefit of the doubt, nowadays a person can have one drink get behind the wheel of a car and be over the limit. Do I think a person's career should be ruined because of it? No. I think I will respect the medical board's decision and if they didnt revoke his license than what right do I have to stick his name up here KWIM? So, sorry to those who FMed me, I'm just gonna keep his name to myself. Hope you forgive meChat Icon but I dont need any bad mojo in my 2ww.Chat Icon

You have to know the dr.'s name to look it up.

I have a very biased opinion when it comes to drunk driving, I lost a family member to it 11 years ago, she was 25, so I can be harsh when it comes to this topic.

Honestly, if the doctor plead guilty to DUI, he was arrested of much more, probably DWI. You all know my husband is in law enforcement, i haven't hidden that fact. No one pleads guilty to DUI unless it was plead down from something else.

That being said, yes, I would look at him differently. It's not fair, but you asked how I felt.

That is exactly how I feel when I saw this. Personally, I feel that as a doctor you should be held to a higher moral code. As a doctor we the patients rely upon your judgment and expect that you will behave responsibly. Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence is completely irresponsible and means you lack judgment. I dont know that I would want this person treating me.Chat Icon
