Help me re-build my wardrobe...Please!
After 2 pregnancies and 2 c-sections in the past 4 1/2 years, my body was shot!!
I started out average build and weight for 5'4. I have always had a fuller chest- C cup. During my pregnancies, (gained 42 lbs with one and 30 lbs with the other) I carried all in my tummy and breasts.
So, I was left with droopy Double D's, 3 hernias and a ton of excess skin.
Needless to say, I have not wanted to dress "this" body for the past 4 1/2 years.
I saved and planned, and after Brody was born 5 months ago, I got my tubes tied and booked my Breast Reduction and Tummy Tuck.
I am only 1 week post op, but I resemble my former self once again!!
I figure that I will be about a 34/36 B and about a size 6 pants when all is said and done.
I need to buy a new wardrobe.
I have plenty of coats and work suits. I worked up until I was pg with Brody and was too sick to continue. I also have nice "work" shoes.
When I was not working these past few years, I wore sweat, sweats and more sweats!!!!
I need casual SAHM stuff and a few trendy going-out outfits. I will also need bras. I will be soooo excited to possibley be able to buy a 1 hook bra!!!!
Where do I start??????
Before babies, I loved Banana Republic, Club Monaco and even some Abercrombie. For work, I always wore AT/AT Loft.
Thanks, Tara

I think you definitely need two great pairs of jeans to start. One going out pair and one casual.
Maybe a few nice tops for going out and some cute tees for home.
A great black dress, I really like shift dresses, like a wrap dress.
BR has tons of nice tops and casual tops.
I don't have any direct links of direct pics, but that is what comes to mind.
For bras, I really like Gap.

I would google Tim Gunn's necessities..he has a good list...
I would go for a GOOD bra fitting (I highly recommend Intimacy in NYC, but..you can go elsewhere if you know)
Good for you and congratulations! Have fun shopping!!

Re: Help me re-build my wardrobe...Please!
I would start with a good bra fitting and under garments. They are the foundation for clothes fitting well. I would get 2-3 pairs of jeans....1 nice trouser pair and 1-2 casual pairs. I have tried dozens and Old Navy fit me best. I would get 1-2 colored cardigans. I like LL Bean. I wear these over tanks and button up shirts 1 each: blk, white, beige long sleeve thin tee for layering 1-2 wrap dresses, and this could include a blk one 1-2 nice wrap sweater's for winter 3-4 tanks 3-4 tee's...I prefer v-neck but any will do 2-3 casual button up shirts
I shop at Old Navy and Gap. I find that the value is great and the clothing lasts for some time. Also I like the way the clothes fit me, nad the deals are awsome. I also like AE and Target.
