Fertility Monitor - Surge
Is a surge when the egg appears or do you consider the second bar a surge?
Thanks!

Re: Fertility Monitor - Surge
The surge is when you get the first day of "peak" on the monitor, the egg. The days close to your peak are high readings indicating your surge is near.

A-ha, that's what I thought. I've been using the machine for about 6mths now but this is my first mth on Clomid and today (CD9) was my first day of testing and it went straight to 2nd bar (High). I usually dont see that 2nd bar until around CD 15 - so I was taken back. I go to see my RE on Monday for my bw and sono but the office told me to call if I saw a surge before that.
Thanks for the answer!

From what I read in the instruction booklet, I think the monitor and meds do not mix. I think it might have mentioned Clomid. Double check on that, as I am not sure.
Good luck!

Re: Fertility Monitor - Surge
I took clomid days 4-8 this month andthen did the IUI on day 13. I got 6 high days i believe this month on the monitor and peaked on day 16-17; followed by another high day.
the clear blue site you can download the booklet. it does say if you are on clomiphene citrate (clomid) you may get more high days than normal, and may not get a peak even if you are ovulating. So maybe you should do OPK's as well.im not sure if clomid affects those too.
however, I did get the peak reading on clomid (maybe b/c it was at least a week after stopping it?) and i got BFP this week. so there is hope!!
