Why do I do this to myself?

I'm out..and so depressed. I do this every month. Why can't this just happen for us? We have been trying for 16 months..seriously, since september. Each month I feeli like it gets worse. How can I deal with this better??

sorry you are feeling so down. perhaps you should speak with your doctor? have you had any fertility testing done at all or your or your DH?

if its 16 months, i would get to a dr. asap for testing.

it could be as simple as bad timing ifyou;re tracking anything, or a blocked tube, sperm problems. something simple that can be fixed.

call your GYN and see what they say!

I'm sorry you are going through this and that you're feeling this way. I agree with the other posters, you should speak to your doctor and have them perform some tests if you haven't already. Here are some hugs and some babydust for you!!!

I know how you feel. We have been trying since April and each month it gets harder and harder. I made an appointment with my OB-GYN today. Problem is she can't see me until April!

Well, here's the thing. I got married in October 2007 and we were kind of "what ever happens" then in February I found out I was extremely hypothyroid. My thyroid functions were 10X as high as they should have been. I had to correct that and my gyno said that could stop ovulation. In september after testing every 6 weeks I finally had "normal" levels. My endocrinologist said I had just as much chance as anyone of getting pregnant at that point. My gyno said to try for 3 months and then we would talk if nothing happened. I got the CBEFM and got started using it. Just recently (december) I thought maybe I am missing something and started charting and temping..hoping that would help. I know I have to get testing done, I guess I was just denying it and hoping a miracle would happen. I guess I am a little afraid of actually having a physician tell me I can;t have children..and all of the invasive testing and procedures we would have to go through. I know it's silly, I guess I just am afraid

Thanks for listening to me ladies and caring...it means so much to me as I have stopped talking to anyone about it. I am tired of friends and family calling and asking if it "happened" and stuff. I only discuss it with DH and he just says that he loves me and just wants me to be happy.

How long has it been since your levels were under control and you were timing BD based around ovulation?

I am so sorry you are feeling down.

If you are temping, and confirming ovulation, and having timed BD, then I would go and see a doctor.

I know you might not hear what you want to hear, but at least you will get some answers.

Thanks Hayley! I will do one more month, this way I can bring a good number of FF charts with me. Thanks for all your helpful advice. I just get so upset whenever I get AF. Usually the next day I am fine. I guess I just need to be more rational about it. I swear, all of the TTC emotions can be so overwhelming.
