Anyone been to Seattle?

DH and i are dying to check it out but have NO guidance.
Where to stay? What to do?

Ideas/ thoughts anyone?

I was there for a weekend about 7 years ago.

I LOVED it and have always wanted to go back. I don't really remember where we stayed- maybe the Hyatt or Westin...

Definitely spend a day at Pike's Market, go to the top of the Space Needle, rent a car and drive to the surrounding areas- washington is beautiful. Maybe you can find a hiking trail or something (I know we drive up some mountain in the area- it was cool). We went to the Experience Music Project which was cool.

Definitely take a day or half a day to just walk around the city and explore.

YES!!

i go almost every year.. my BIL lives there!!

we stayed at the Sheraton.. which was really nice! we loved it!
and its right in the middle fo the city..

its a really small cute city.. the pike market and seattle center is really nice.. definitely have to check that out!

nightlife if you are into that.. is not the greatest however.. there are a few bars here and there.. but no clubs really or anything like that..

my DH is going next month actually .. if you want i can have him get you tons of brochures and i'll mail it to you!

I lived there for college, but it was like 10 years ago, so I'm not sure I have the most relevant info anymore.

If the weather is good, do try to make it up to Mt. Rainier. It's absolutely gorgeous.

I like seattle. we lived there years ago.

my sister lives in the olympic pennisula, so we would just head right up there.

We've stayed outside of Seattle (Where my family is). Its about 20 min. from the city itself.

Pikes market is nice. The Space Needle is a must see (beautiful view).

Def. go see Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier, just beautiful!

Tacoma has the glass museum. They have some glass outdoors that you can see. The work is beautiful.

Oooooooh, I loved Seattle! We stayed at this swanky hotel that had art everywhere and sushi happy hours. They also had a gym with flat screen tvs on each treadmill and earphones to listen.

Pike Place market was a lot of fun. I also did an underground tour which was very cool. I didn't rent a car or anything, just did a lot of walking around. I also saw the Bodies exhibit there, but I think it may be gone now.

My parents said the Boeing Museum is really interesting, if you are into that type of stuff.
