If you ever had to trigger yourself

Did you have a time frame that it had to be done in. Like did they want you to do it early in the morning OR could you just do it when you got home from work??

I had to trigger for my IVF retrieval & it had to be done at 1am. So I had to set my alarm to get up about 10 minutes ahead of time to prep the shot. I do know that it is a precise time though & not a range

For the IUI I was told at a specific time to do the trigger shot which was midnight.

For IVF retrieval I had to do it at exactly 11pm.

I was never told to give myself the HCG shot at any particular time, ever in 7 iui's. Someone posted this very question back when I was doing my first series of iui's. I never thought that you had to do it at any particular time. I even asked the nurse and she said to do it at the same time you would have given youself the regular shots.

I decided on iui#5 to do it almost exactly 36 hours from my iui, and you know what, that was the one that got me pg. And I did it again when I did my first IUI this round, and again I got pg (ended in chemical). Last month was a mess and I know they completely missed my O so I don't count that time, but believe me I'll be doing the same thing for #8 regardless of them telling me that it doesn't count.

For the IUI it was a little looser... they just said to do it before I left for work that morning.

For the IVF, it was a very specific time.

With my RE's, I was given a specific time to trigger for the IUI and the IVF.

I was always given a specific time to trigger, wether it be IUI or IVF.

When I triggered myself for an IUI, I always had to give myself the shot between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

I was also given a specific time to trigger - falls around the 36 hr range for iui.

I had to do my trigger shot at 10pm on the dot! No earlier no later and this was for an IVF cycle. Best of luck

i assume the trigger shot is the hcg based on someone elses response
i was told to do it at 10pm which also happens to be when i would give myself the follistim
