Went to the OB/GYN for a check up.
The docotr told me if we want to be aggressive to use an ovulation kit. And if we are not successful in 6 months to make an appointment. Even though we just started, I am 33 and would like to have three children.
I am trying to decide if I should invest in the clearblue fertility monitor.

Have you used OPK's yet? I just bought them and I am waiting to start use.
I'm 33 also and working on #2. I hope they help me.

Have you used the Clear Blue easy smiley OPKs yet? I like them alot and they are very easy to use. Not too expensive either!

Re: Went to the OB/GYN for a check up.
I haven't tried anything yet other then tracking AF. I am trying to take the guess work out of it. I was wondering if I was better off investing in the monitor if I am going to be using for more then one pregnancy.

Re: Went to the OB/GYN for a check up.
I used the ClearBlue digital OPKs b/c they were the easiest to interpret with the little smiley face. I had very short cycles though, so I only had to use about 3 or 4 a month. If you have a longer cycle they can become a little expensive if you are trying for a while.

Re: Went to the OB/GYN for a check up.
My cycle is about every 32 days, although this month Af decided to show up on day 38. The doctor didn't seem too concerned. He says it happens.

I use the CBEFM..im on 7th month of trying. Its easy to use and i highly recommend it.
amazon.com has it for a pretty good price.
also, if you have an FSA (flex spending acct) through your health insurance, its FSA eligble on drugstore.com . thats how i purchased mine.

I'll have to find out about my insurance plan, I'm not sure. I found CBEFM on line which includes a 3 month supply of strips for $180 and free shipping.

Re: Went to the OB/GYN for a check up.
thats a pretty good price for the tester and strips.
i get the 30 count box of sticks on amazon for 38.00 which is a lot less than what CVS sells them for.
So thats a pretty good deal for $180 if its the monitor and a box of 30 sticks.
