"inlaw" question

does anyone get along with their inlaws but its their SO who cant stand their own parents...how do u NOT get involved if u are not bothered by them

I can't stand my parents, and DH tolerates them very well. We don't see them often, which helps a lot. If my Dad starts to act up, we make a quick exit, saying we have to go somewhere else. My Mom is in AZ now, but she always used to get Dh to get ME to commit to things, like going to so and so's house. it annoyed the hell out of me, so Dh and i agreed that his answer would be, "We have to check our schedules and see. Rebecca will get back to you."
