girls with Highlighted hair please come in or hairdressers
When you get your hair highlighted (not the 1st time) does your hairdresser pick up the same pieces of hair they highlighted before and highlight the new growth or do they just use whatever pieces?
My last hair dresser never ever did the same pieces, and I would get these lines from the growth. It would also leave the bottom of my hair full of too much color as it grew out.
Does yours do this??

I don't think she does the same pieces each time. She does it really quickly, so if she does, I'd be super impressed. I get 3-4 colors so I think it all just blends and the pieces don't really matter. For the most part the same colors are used int he same sections, if that makes sense.

My colorist picks the same pieces for the most part, if not I would become totally blonde without highlights.

Same here. She always uses the same pieces.

Re: girls with Highlighted hair please come in or hairdressers
When I still had my blonde highlights in, she would just grab whatever pieces because I have a LOT of hair and had a lot of thin highlights so I could see how it would be virtually impossible to grab the same highlighted hairs.
However, I had the same problem where eventually I was all blonde. I would then just dye my entire base again (instead of just the roots) and then do new highlights on top. But I used to dye my hair (natural hair is black and dye it medium brown) and then do highlights. Now I just dye all of my hair.

I have a pretty dark base and to avoid this from happening my hairdresser used to put in low lights after a couple of highlight only sessions. KWIM?
