Re: ladies in thier 3rd tri
I still go to prenatal yoga twice a week and I'm 37 weeks tomorrow....don't know if that's exercise exactly, but it is movement. I also try to walk as much as I can too. Living/work in the city makes that pretty much unavoidable though.

Re: ladies in thier 3rd tri
I really don't have the spare time or energy. When I get home from work, I run around with my 27-month-old until she goes to bed. That to me is worth foregoing exercise right now.

Everything is uncomfortable at this point, seriously everything...and tiring. Sleeping, sitting, standing. But moving is about the only thing that isn't. As long as I stay hydrated though I'm fine. Perfect example, Saturday morning I woke up feeling like crap after yet another night of no sleep (the bigger and farther along I am, the harder it is to get any sleep at all) but I decided to suck it up and go to Yoga and I felt soooooo much better afterwards. Then I walked around and did so many errands till the afternoon. So glad I got out and did it all.
I find I feel worse if I lay around because it's just not comfortable to lay/sit around. That could be just me though. As long as I have the energy I try to take advantage.
ETA: That said, sunday I was so exhausted from Saturday that I couldn't do much of anything. As you hit your 3rd trimester, especially towards the end, you'll find that your energy level nosedives and your tiredness comes back with a vengeance, like how tired you are in the first trimester.

Alissa...you're sooo good...my execise consists of pushing the elevator button, strolling from my car to the door...from my door to the car..oh yeah..and to my couch... But please don't follow my example, I wasn't allowed to exercise after bed rest, but if you can do light exercises like walking, yoga, and light weights that would be great! Good luck!
