just an update on me

went for my OB appt last week and she said she is pretty sure i have PCOS.. so i went for a sonogram tonight and i should get the results in a day or two. i'm nervous... i'm sure i DO have PCOS, but wondering if it will mean no baby for a long time if ever at all. it's gotta be a bad thing if the external sonogram hurt a lot more than the internal, right? guess i just needed to vent.. thanks for reading.

I have PCOS - my hormones are ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! I rarely got AF on my own, and I never ovulated.

I started myself on a really strict diet - Low Glycemic Index. Google PCOS diet - that's what I did. And my Dr started me on Metformin (actually, the brand name Glucophage XR - extended release) and after 2 months, I got AF naturally!!!

I'm currently pregnant - after having 3 Drs tell me it would NEVER happen without IVF or IUI assistance. HAH - I didn't need it.

All things are possible - don't let anyone tell you that you CAN'T do something!!!!

If you ever have any questions, shoot me an FM. I read SOOOO much about PCOS and the hormone workings and everything. I probably know more than I should.

thank you so much shorty, i really appreciate that! i am going to google the pcos diet right now
i had cysts on my ovaries in the past and went on BC to help shrink them.. and i guess it worked because i have a 5 yr old DD.. but i feel like it's worse this time around.. i am trying to stay optimistic though.

there are lots of girls on the Pregnancy board that have PCOS and are pregnant.

you are with a doctor now and will get everything under control!!!
