Turks & Caicos......
Anyone ever been?
My DH and I need to get away and I'm trying to go someplace tropical with gambling and good food.
I've heard its beautiful there and with the economy not doing so great we're hoping to get a good deal.
Any feedback would be much appreciated - even other suggestions!!!

I loved T&C
Beautiful, quiet. No gambling though
just over 3 hr plane ride each way.
We stayed at the Palms which I think is the Regents now

Yup! We stayed at Beaches since we took DD. FM me if you want some info!
There was another LIF'er who FM'd me awhile back about it and I never got back to her!!  SO SORRY!!!!!!! I APOLOGIZE!!!!!

We stayed at the Regent Palms too. They definitely give you good value for your dollar though the service needs to be improved. T&C has amazing beaches (white sand, long and deep beaches, beautiful calm crystal clear water). The only problem with T&C is that there is nothing to do! So just be prepared to sit at the beach.

just got back and had an amazing time. i would def recommend it. the beaches are gorgeous!! everyone is so nice and willing to go out of their way to help you. the food is some of the best i've had on a trip (or in nyc for that matter). we snorkeled and did horseback riding on the beach. there are a couple of casinos there as well.
