I so dont blame you at all. I would call her again and say you need the list TODAY. That you have the time now to do it and the only thing that is missing is her list.

i just wanted to say good for you for getting on top of this task...i just finished doing mine and it took me three days. i sooo should've prepared the labels and names like you're doing! hopefully she'll get her butt in gear and send it to you soon.

I agree. maybe be a little more demanding about needing the list, especially since the baby will be here soon!

The MIL/DIL relationship is very weird for most of us. Your MIL might feel like she's imposing or just doesn't know how to act, doesn't want to overstep boundaries, etc. My mother went through the same when my SIL was pregnant - she was very excited, but didn't want to smother. If I were you, I'd tell her that you'll be sending the announcements to the list that you currently have, simply omitting anyone that you know has moved but dont' have an updated address for unless she gives it to you within the week.
Also, have you asked for help from your DH? I really think men are clueless when it comes to pregnancy and what we're going through.

I am sorry that something so simple seems to be taking her so long. I think you should call her again ask about the list and say that you are putting in teh order by x date and that you need the revised list. If you don't get it then you are going to have no other choice but to use the list you have.
I think just giving her a deadline might help especially that you only have a limited amount of time.

I think is some weird MIL thing.. when it comes to the DIL being pregnant. Some are just different to their DIL than they are with their own daughter.. No clue why... maybe just a comfort level?
