Weather In Maine the 1st week in Sept?

Is it still warm? Beach weather? TIA

Specifically Ogunquit Maine.

You should still have nice weather and the water should be warmer after being in the summer sun. We went to Rhode Island one year the first week of September and it was fantastic. Everything was less crowded, but still open and the beaches were great.

the weather can be hit or miss at that time of year. Usually the last week in August it starts to cool off & swimming is definately feasible but expect colder waters (it doesn't get like here)..When I was younger, we use to always come home Labor Day weekend & I can remember being in sweatshirts & pants at times.

I have no idea on the weather, but just wanted to say that we went to Ogunquit last summer and absolutely LOVED it there! We are going back this summer.

I would think that would be the PERFECT time to go there! The water should actually be the warmest since it has heated up all summer (although it is Maine so I am sure it will still be pretty chilly!). Plus you'll miss the summer crowds. I would go!
