Does your DH snore?

My DH snores SOO loud and I'm worried once the baby comes he may wake him/her up.

Anyone have any tips to help my DH stop snoring or maybe just be a little more quite lol

Yes, and it's super annoying. I wouldn't worry at all about him waking the baby though. My DS sleeps through the TV on, the dogs speed-racing around the house and a ton of other "noise".

Yes, like a mack truck. But I'm not worried about waking the baby up at all, he'll get used to it since that's the way it will be from day one. I'm not a believer of keeping quiet for the sake of the baby. We live in the city on a busy street, he will get used to all the noise outside, plus our noisy radiator inside, our howling cat and DH's snoring. Plus, remember that it is very loud in your womb, so they're more used to noise than you might think.

Ita with all but I have no cat. Im LOUD so I think little man is used to noise. And if he isnt he is going to have a hard time in this LOUD ITALIAN family. My family has no LOW setting.Chat Icon

Re: Does your DH snore?

My DH has his nights. Some are unbearable & then others I don't hear it. Don't worry about him waking the baby, you are going to want to get your baby use to as much noise as possible so they can sleep anywhere.

honestly, yes he does. Is it bad? to me - at times....BUT - we are not going to raise our baby in an environment of silence... (and believe me, i'm not saying you are or that it is WRONG.)

I just know a few years ago, at my best friends' wedding, we were in a room in the hotel, partying, joking, playing poker, when i realized it was the couple with a child's room. i stopped and went, OMG Michele - where's Owen? She went - he's on the bed sleeping. I almost DIED....and she explained how they NEVER EVER tiptoe around him, because then he'd wake up at every sound, etc.. He was passed out DEAD in bed, sleeping very happily in a room with about 6 drunk men and a few women from the BP...and that stuck with me BIG TIME...

Re: Does your DH snore?

DH is a big snorer, but like the rest said, you don't want the baby to get used to complete silence. Making noise when he/she sleeps is good so you don't have to tip toe around.
When my girlfriend had her first one, she fell asleep in the bouncy. While she was sleeping, she starting vacuuming the house so she got used to alot of noise.
