Don't even engage, if you can possibly avoid him. Seriously your stress level will go up unnecessarily and that's bad for baby. Plus it's often a greater 'punishment' for these types to be met with stone cold silence, it sends them round the bend... Can you block him from your email???

I know that this is much harder but the way that I handle this is to "Kill em with kindness" it really throws people for a loop and they have no idea how to react. I'm sorry that you're having problems with your FIL though! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Never put anything in WRITING!!!.. if you want to battle him then do it verbally.. never give him the upper hand by having something you wrote in writing so he can use against you by showing others!! just a word of advice. Either confront on phone, person or ignore..

i agree 100% - Especially if he's already being a b*stard. - He'll print that email and shove it in everyone's face or twist your words .......Even if you have to call him and have it in front of your for refrence when you get too mad to remember what you want to say - but DO NOT SEND IT !!

Personally, I ignore my FIL when he's being a jackass -
