This is a great topic, and something I had wanted to bring up....
I actually wanted to start this on NFR a while ago...asking if a childless couple is considered a family
What prompted this is that I had actually asked LIF to consider starting a "Living Child Free" board for people who did not want, or could not have children...since I consider them still to be a family
I FMd them about this as well a few weeks ago, never heard back

Since we got married we always thought of ourselves as our own little family  Pets included.

I asked DH his response was "We share the last name, we are family. We were a couple when we were dating but we're married now which makes us a family."

I would definitely say family, my DH agrees (I wasn't sure how he would answer ) We will definitely be more complete when our children are here, but for now it's DH, the 2 kitties and me!

We consider ourselves a family, albeit a small one.
It was stressed to us in precana that we were to become a family as soon as we took our vows. We have considered ourselves a family since our wedding day.

Well, I am glad I asked. It was neat to hear all the different thoughts plus to hear what the guys have to say!!
I like Lisa's idea too...a couples/small families without children forum!!

always thought of ourselves as a family since our wedding. We do have a big furry brown daughter so it makes us a family of 3!
