do i need a bouncer AND a swing? i feel like its so much 'stuff!'

I would say Yes. We used both daily in our house.

I would get both and then see which one DC likes. Then return the other.

Some kids like one more then the other, none, or both. Depends on the child.

Yup. You'll feel like it's so much stuff now and within 2 weeks of DC being here, you'll think there's not nearly enough

DS actually never took to the swing but loved his bouncer; other kids are exactly the opposite and still others love or hate both. You won't know what your DC will be like until he/she's here.

For me it was a defiant yes!! DD loved both of them, there are times, they like to be in the one and then get bored, so its nice to be able to switch to another with a different feel. My dd loved both her bounce seat and swing. Plan on using both again with baby #2.

the swing is hit and miss, some kids love the swing (DS did) others can't stand it. But I would say yes you need both.

There are other things I could live without but I used my swing and bouncy seat every day for MONTHS!

if you can afford it, then yes! i have a bouncer, a swing, a jumperoo, a bumbo seat and a play mat - and i use them ALL every day! my DS gets bored if he is in one thing too long so it's nice to have several options for him.

absolutely!!!! DS is 6 months and still uses both daily! we couldn't have survived the first few months without them

I would say yes. Many babies like both and they serve different purposes. DD never got really into the swing but I did find it helpful to have.
