First timer on LIF distressed

Hi ladies. I'm making my big move here from LIW. I feel like I have no one else to really open up to about this. I'm afraid to freak out my DH more so than I already have. Let me back track a bit.
We have been TTC for about 5 months now. I'm 25, DH is 26. I went to the doctor who assured me that all signs are "GO", but warned me it takes time. I took that with a grain of salt and now 5 months later I don't even know if obsessed is the right word. I got to the point where DH told me I cried in my sleep calling out things about having a baby. I'm getting so nervous. I've been timing it and trying to take all the necessary precautions, but nothing is happening. I'm expecting my pd this week and I think it's coming. I'm having a really rough night tonight dealing with this emotional roller coaster. Just wanted someone to talk to.

I never really wandered on to this site, but now that I have and read some threads it's comforting to know there's people going through similar things. Just being able to vent is helpful in itself. Thank you.

Re: First timer on LIF distressed

Just wanted to say that a normal, healthy woman under 35, it could take 6 months to a year to get pregnant.

That said, I would try for one more month, and if nothing happens, ask your ob to run some basic tests (CD3, CD21, Semen Analysis, HSG) Those few tests could rule out alooooot of things that could be wrong, and maybe help you to proceed.

Do you have normal cycles? Anything like thyroid issues, PCOS or anything?

Chat Icon Chat Icon Yes, it can all be very frustrating. First, are you writing down somewhere the days of your periods and the days you O? Are you using OPK's? I think these are the first steps to just get an idea of how your body is working. It helps, plus posting on here, knowing that there are others who feel the same things you do, really helps. ITA with the PP-it could take up to a year for a healthy woman under 35 to get pregnant. You can call your OB for tests. Are you tracking your cycles with OPKs or temping? Sometimes the control helps.

I am tracking it. My pd has become a lot more regular in the past few months. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and then you're right I should contact my obgyn. DH is a smoker do you think that affects it?
