BBT

When taking tempature daily do you have to take it at the same time of day everyday. I am having a problem remembering and when I remember it is not first thing in the morning. I read a book that told me to take it first thing in the morning before I do anything.

Hi Irene,

I am no expert, since I have never done the BBT, but from what I have read on here, you need to set an alarm and get up the same time every day and take your temp before getting out of bed. This makes it an accurate temp.

Yes, it's very important to do it at the same time each day. 10 minutes won't make a big difference, but you really want to try for the same time.

The easiest thing is to just set your alarm and keep the thermometer right on your nightstand.

Yes, you should take it at the same time every day, in the morning before you get out of bed-no water, no bathroom.

hey date twin!! how's married life???
i've actualy been tempting for 3 cycles now. at first it was hard to remember to remember do but now its part of my routine- my alarm goes off and the then my thermomter goes in my mouth. and on saturdays and sundays when i don't need to be up at 5AM i set my alarm for that time take my temp and then go back to sleep. HTH!!!
