Re: furniture
we got our baby furniture at JCPennys. For the quality, it was by far the best priced. Pics in album

Re: furniture
Buy the book Baby Bargains. It will help you sort through what is good and what is not when it comes to all things baby.

Re: furniture
I have 2 Natart sets- one for DS and one for DD. The quality is excellent- but they are very expensive. We went to Sukon's in Queens.

Re: furniture
There are many good brands:
Romani (sp?) Pali Natart Munire Bonavita Bellini etc.
As far as stores, I would highly recommend checking out Behrs in Hicksville and Sukon's in Ozone Park. They both have all the good brands and both have good pricing and work with you. (except Behrs didn't have Natart when we went)
We got our set at Sukon's.
ETA: but you can only get Bellini from Bellini.

Re: furniture
Buy the baby bargain book!! It helped a lot. I went to four stores: Behrs Buy Buy Baby Baby's R us Bellini I also was considering Pottery barn furniture. I went with a set from Buy Buy baby (Bonavita). This company is highly recommended in the baby bargain book, but it is not top end furniture. I got my furniture a few Weeks ago. I have yet to put the crib together but the changing table is a great quality. The set was very inexpensive. I also had 20% coupons and it saved us over $150.
Baby bargins reccomends these company's Good: Bonavita Sorelle Best: Munire Natart Westwood Pali Morigeau
I almost bought a Romina set, which Behrs said was the best made furniture you can get. Very expensive though!!
