Anyone else? pics added!

I had my 12 week appointment yesterday. Turns out baby looks great, heartbeat was great and he's measuring on track. In fact, I'm measuring about a 1/2 week-week ahead. The only problem was that it turns out I am a carrier for cystic fibrosis. My DH went this morning to be tested and we should get the results in a week. I don't know what I'll do if he is also a carrier. Did anyone else go through this?

I didnt experience myself, but friends have. Both their dhs didnt test for. I would try not to worry, just keep faith that Dhs blood work will come back as a noncarrier.

Congrats on the baby! I also was a carrier for CF and fortunately DH was not. Even if your DH is a carrier then there is only a 25% (i think that's the percentage) that the baby will have CF. Best of luck!

Thanks for the replies ladies. I keep telling myself that I can't stress because it's bad for the baby, but it's so hard not to think about it. I know we would love the baby either way, it's just a big load on my mind right now. Next week can't come fast enough!

We did the testing before getting PG -
I am a carrier, so DH had to be tested - and he is not.

I forgot the number, but it's some ridiculous chance in hell that BOTH of you are carriers - I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry about it

Great pics! I'm not a CF carrier, but DH had to get his blood tested because I am negative I think, and if we both are then I need to get a shot or something?

Try not to worry--the chances of you both being carriers is very low!

I am a carrier. DH got tested and he wasn't a carrier. Try not to worry!!!
