I don't have enough items to put on my registry!
I definitely don't have enough gifts to people invited to my baby shower. I keep adding useless things I really don't think I will need. Should I start adding items that I'll probably need after the baby is 1 years old?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, as a lot of people get gifts on their own without using the registry (I feel like people take this liberty more so with baby showers than bridal). did you include a toddler carseat? like a britax or something? I know those can be $200-$300 and depending how big your baby is, you may need one by the time they're 9 months.....they can stay in them until I think they're 40 pounds.

Yup, already registered for the convertible seat. I also registered for a lot of the activity toys that kids use at 6+ months.

we reg. for diapers and things that we know are a bit expensive and will have enough of so once  is born we don't have to keep running out for more supplies!

Well, how many items do you have on your registry and how many people are invited. Just remember that an item that is over $100 is usually bought by more then one person.

You can also register for Kiddie Kandids gift certificates 
Spare base for infant seat ( 2nd car)?
Travel clip on feeding seat ?
8oz bottles?
DVD's
Diapers multiple sizes
Cooler bag for bottles
Large and small diaper bags
sheets !!!!!!!!!
You'll find a way to fill it up I'm sure

I don't need a ton of stuff just because our house is small and we got some great hand-me-downs.
I figure if there aren't gifts left, people will get creative ,buy diapers or give gift cards.
Don't worry about it

Did you put gates on - for the stairs, any openings, even a corral type gate (we used it for outside)?
You can def put diapers, wipes and dreft on.
We also ended up buying those foam tiles for indoor and outdoor play.

I felt the same way in the beginning. I started registry off with 50 items and by week 15 of pregnancy my mom had already purchased about 30 items(We are so lucky! and its first grandbabies--we are having twins)...I started adding things...but nothing that we didn;t need..and I am now at 199 items....register for formula..diapers...maybe some older kids items like toyboxes, nursery table sets (if you have the room)...also register for multiples....maybe 3 packs of onesies..also like PP said you will get alot of GC's and you wll always be able to find things youneed down the road!

we did register for some older kid things like the potty and sippy cups and plates and we got them all.
Also, we registered for the carseat to use after we're done with the travel system and we got that as well.
