I guess this is just a shameless post for hugs
I know it's silly but DH and I are both summer babies and I just realized that we now have passed the opportunity to have a summer baby (unless we are still ttc next year but lets not go there) So this time would make for a mid-september baby but after that it's really fall/winter.....
I KNOW I shouldn't care but if I could plan, I would have wanted a summer baby.

I am a teacher and was hoping for a spring baby since that would be best for my maternity leave. But, I have just accepted the fact that one cannot always plan these things. I will be ecstatic and blessed no matter what time of year the baby comes...and we will make it work.
Good luck and try not to get bogged down with those details. Just keep praying/hoping for a happy, healthy baby.

DD is a winter baby and I wanted a fall baby... a 2008 fall baby... at least now I have a shot at a fall 2009 baby... but that slot is slowly slipping away now too...

What is it that you are upset about? is it that you particularly enjoy having a summer birthday or is it that you would have preferred celebrating your birthdays close together? the reason I ask is because i think my due date will be around mid August and I feel badly that my baby won't be able to celebarte his or her birthday in school but it sounds like you loved having a birthday in the summer. on a separate note, my bday is at the end of Oct and i LOVE having my bday in the fall. I guess it really doesn't matter when your birthday is, you love it no matter what right?

I LOVE having a summer birthday. I never minded not celebrating at school cause I thought it was great that I didn't have to go to school. My bday was always just about me.  I really love the summer, sun, relaxing, beaches, outside birthday parties in the backyard, etc.
But I know your right, you probably love your bday no matter when it is, cause it's yours.
Here's plenty of to all for a great 2009 and an extra to anyone else that it's taking longer than they had hoped.

I know what you mean, I was hoping for a Spring baby. DS was born 7/27, the last month was so uncomfortable with the heat. If I hadn't miscarried this time I would have been due 6/8 which was ideal with school etc, but that didn't work out. Now I will take whatever I can.

I was hoping for a baby between April-August, all of my and dh's families fall within that period. My birthday is August and I loved having a summer birthday.
