Has anyone gotten up close and personal w/ a mucous plug ?
This one is not for the queasy ladies  ....This morning when I used the bathroom, I felt something come out ( for me, not unusual because of my bleeds and clots etc..) but when I looked in the TB, on the side ( not in the water) was a white blobby thingy w/ some brownish blood in it...Heres the gross part- I took a tweaser and took it out and put it on a piece of papertowel and used the tweaser to spread it out ( oh what we pg. ladies do - LOL) ...It had a wet toilet paper feel to it ( fiberous) ...So I'm not sure if it actually was toilet paper, and if maybe whatever came out was heavy enough to go straight down the bowl or if it was my plug...I think I'll post this on parenting as well- but figured I'd ask you ladies as well

From posts I have seen on here-- it looks like mucous, so did it look like snot??
Also, you probably will lose a little more throughout the day-- since I think it's pretty typical to not get it all at once, and it's different from the "bloody show", so you will have more chances to examine!

Also, you probably will lose a little more throughout the day-- since I think it's pretty typical to not get it all at once, and it's different from the "bloody show", so you will have more chances to examine!
Thats the starnge part...Totally looked like snot, but didnt feel like it ...It had more "substance" to it KWIM ?...This is so gross  !

I never saw my mucous plug last pregnancy .. but have seen that white clumpy stuff with both pregnancies.. but never had any color in them. Is your due date almost here?

My c-section is scheduled for Jan 6 ( I am 36w2D)...2nd DC...Baby is already 8lbs4oz as of this past Tuesday ( per sono anyway) ...

same thing happened to me a couple days ago! i went to pee and saw a what looked like egg whites...i thought it always had to be pink or red so i dismissed it as possibly alot of CM...when i asked my dr. yesterday, he said i lost my mucous plug and that that was probably it!

this wont be the last time im gross..,.but i lost mine peeing at Ayhans ...it literally looked like a snail with no shell...it was long and slimy and alil harder then regular mucusy dishcharge..and alil brownish in color lol ugh gross
i actually threw up in my mouth when i saw it on the toilet paper lollll

wow very close... did you call your OB and let them know what you found??? Baby may arrive shortly!!

I haven't called my OB, to be honest I call there so much for all my other issues ( my previa I had was a doozy, literally felt like me and the OB were having a phone affair, thats how much we spoke ) , so I'm trying to ride it out to see if anything else happens...I was there on Tuesday for a sono and the tech couldnt see my cervix because the babies head was in the way ( I'm so curious if I have dilated at all) and because I was a previa case, my OB doesnt do internals on me....So far nothing else has happpend but my belly feels achy ( whatever that means if anything )

it is your plug
mine was a big ball of clearish white "snot" and it came out in my underwear when i sneezed.
i went into labor 3 days early.
