I went with DH for his work, we stayed at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, where Pretty Woman was filmed. It was very nice!

Hmmm......good question, our friend lives in Beverly Hills and we're flying into LA, I guess the area that's closer to Beverly hills... sorry if I'm not making sense, I just don't know the area at all.

I'd try to stay in Santa Monica on the beach, it's so nice and it's a quick drive (approx 20 minutes) into Beverly Hills.

Ok, don't shoot me, It's in Beverly Hills (we haven't gotten the invitation yet) in a Synogogue. The brides father lives in the "valley." Am I making you crazy yet? Chat Icon Chat Icon

Silly question I know but you don't think that the bride will include hotel info in the invites?

It's a confusing wedding, she's not sending formal invitations nor are they inviting a lot of people. Chat Icon Don't ask! My price range would be nothing over $150 a night. We will be there two nights. Chat Icon

Re: Anyone been to LA?

I saw these on Expedia, all under $160 per night ... all around 3 star and near Beverly Hills.

Ramada Plaza Hotel & Suites - West Hollywood
Right on Santa Monica Boulevard, this centrally located hotel is linked at the lobby level to a café-style restaurant; the famed Sunset Strip is two blocks away.

Best Western Beverly Pavilion Hotel
This boutique-style hotel sits on a corner three blocks from Rodeo Drive restaurants and shopping, six miles from Hollywood, and 13 miles from LAX.

** This is where I stayed for 2 nights during the grammy's a few years ago. **
Century Wilshire
Near shopping, UCLA
On Wilshire Boulevard amid fine old apartment buildings and newer high-rises, this three-story hotel is four blocks from Westwood Village and six blocks from UCLA.

Hotel Angeleno
Renovated in 2006, this hotel is set at the crossroads of Brentwood and Bel-Air, 1 mile from UCLA; 7 miles from Hollywood, Venice Beach, and Beverly Hills.

Valadon Hotel - West Hollywood
Only five minutes from Sunset Strip's nightlife and restaurants, this boutique hotel is graced with original art, stained glass, and residential quiet. After a five-minute stroll from the hotel through a genteel residential area, guests emerge in the center of the Sunset Strip. The Viper Club (co-owned by actor Johnny Depp) is on the lefthand corner, and Whiskey A-Go-Go is visible across the street.

Best Western Carlyle Inn-Beverly Hills area
Situated in an older neighborhood, this four-story hotel is one mile from Beverly Hills, seven miles from Hollywood, 10 miles from Santa Monica beach, and 13 miles from LAX.
