We are on our way...here's our protocol.
I went to the RE this morning to get BW done to start BCP, and BW for the genetic screening. I also got my IVF calendar.
Today I start BCP and take them for 11 days, brining me to the 28th of November.
**In the meantime, DH and I have our orientation tonight, DH's SA on Sunday (the day we both have to take antibiotics) and my water sono on Monday.**
After the 11 days of BCP I go 2 days doing nothing.
December 1st I go in for BW and Sono, and if everything looks good, I start stimming on that day.
My stim meds include menopur, dexamethasone pill and then ganerelix when told to start.
Projected trigger date: 12/10 with egg retrieval on 12/12, fertilization report 12/13, transfer on 12/15.
Start what they called vag caps and what i'm assuming is progesterone suppositories on 12/16, and estraderm patches on 12/19.
How does all of this sound to you? Anyone have any side effects with those meds? Any tips/advice?

i only took the menopur mixed with gonal f and it burned going in but that was it!
i wish you lots of luck and so excited you have your protocol and your on your way

SO exciting!!
I've taken menopur with follistim - it just stings a little bit. The ganirellex is a peice of cake.
I really didn't have many symptoms - just a little emotional, that's all

That's very similar to the protocol I'm on now. I was on BCP's longer though to fit me into the cycle. It's a piece of cake. Good luck!!!

my protocol is very similiar. i took gonal f with menopur though. i am taking the dex pill and started ganirelix last night with all the other stuff. so far, no problems. just a little stinging.
good luck...dont the let orientation freak you out! it is not as bad as they can make it out to be!!! or at least that is how i feel!!!

This is funny… I have almost the same protocol as you!!!
Same meds, same date for water sono, same date to start stimming. Trigger shot on 12/11, and everything else a day after you.

Definitely! I know you are seeing Dr. K as well. I am having the water sono on Monday in Melville office. Maybe I will even see you there!

This sounds like a pretty typical protocol. The only difference I can see is that you are on BCP for only 11 days rather than the usual 3 weeks. I had no side effects from the meds. Best of luck and
